John Shepherd and Fred Thomson are two detectives working in a small town, who are called upon to investigate a series of brutal murders. It soon becomes apparent that the killings are the work of a cult that is operating in the shadows of the town. The cult is led by a mysterious figure known only as the "Investigator", who has a dark and sinister agenda. John and Fred must work together to unravel the mystery and bring the cult to justice, but in doing so they must confront their own pasts and inner demons. Along the way, they discover that the cult has a secret agenda, one that could have far-reaching consequences if they fail to stop it. As they investigate further, they come to realize that the cult is more powerful and dangerous than they ever imagined. The two detectives must now work together to uncover the truth and put an end to the cult's reign of terror before it is too late. Along the way, they will explore themes of love, loyalty, justice, and redemption.
