It begins with a mom named Valerie Hogan, a woman who handles her job, three sons and an absent airline pilot husband who’s rarely home. About two years later, Mike Hogan (their dad) starts staying at home more, and Sandy Hogan, their recently-divorced aunt and school counselor starts a new chapter of her life by moving in with the family to help them get back on their feet and cope with the loss of Valerie, their wife and mother, respectively. This transitional phase of their lives is one that deals with topics like AIDS, teen-sex, hormones, peer-pressure, drunk driving, death, house-fires & so much more.
