Directed by the Russo Brothers, The Gray Man is a high-octane action thriller that follows Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), a former convict recruited by the CIA for its elite “Sierra” program. Operating under the codename Sierra Six, he is a “gray man”—a lethal assassin who exists in the shadows and doesn’t officially exist. The plot kicks into gear when Six accidentally uncovers dark agency secrets during a mission. He suddenly becomes the target of a global manhunt spearheaded by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a sociopathic former colleague who has been contracted by the CIA to eliminate him by any means necessary. With the help of fellow agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas), Six must navigate a deadly gauntlet of international assassins while trying to protect the only people he considers family. The film is a globe-trotting game of cat-and-mouse, defined by massive set pieces and a brutal rivalry between the stoic Six and the unhinged Hansen.
