During the Angolan civil war, Bushman Xixo's two children Xiri and Xisa gets on two ivory poachers' truck, that accidentally takes them away. Their father must rescue them. In the meanwhile, a New York lawyer finds herself trapped in the South African desert with a rude zoologist and two enemy soldiers try to capture each other.
