In this dark and gritty incarnation, Peter Parker is a tortured hero who lost his Uncle Ben when he was fifteen and his girlfriend, Gwen Stacy in the hands of the Green Goblin, and now twenty-five years have past, Peter is a young adult and gave up being Spider-Man. But when a new threat appears in New York, he must go back to being the hero New York wanted.
