After being defeated by Spider-Man, Harry Osborn becomes consumed by revenge and decides to free all of Spider-Man's villains from prison to help destroy the web-slinger at any cost. As the villains destroy the city, Spider-Man calls for backup, leading the government to form their own Avengers team to help take down the newly freed villains. However, the Avengers have their own hidden agendas and are more corrupt than the government had anticipated, putting both Spider-Man and the city in even greater danger.
