A movie adaptation of the 1954 Sallinger book "The Catcher in the Rye", featuring a depressed 16 year old adolescent known as Holden Caulfield travelling through New York after being expelled from his private school. The story covers Holden's personal opinions and experiences of alienation, hatred for pretentiousness in people, love for innocent little things and utter loneliness.
