Having been two years after the Riddler attack, Bruce considers thinkin he can't work alone. He's been invited to a show at a circus and he accepts. During the show, something terrible happens. While the Graysons where doing their acrobatic stuff, someone cut the rope and they fell and died. This left poor Dick Grayson in shock. Bruce feels bad for the child and decides to take him in. Then he sees that this boy could be a great sidekick someday. Meanwhile, Bruce goes after the killer, Tony Zucco, which he fails to do.
