Jodie is a 20-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a ballerina(Ballet was taught to her by her late father) and performing in the best theaters in New York. Unfortunately, her cruel mother does not allow her to do so and makes her work in a bar and give the money she earns to her(she spends the money on alcohol,drugs and the services of male prostitutes). Jodie one day can't stand it and runs away from home at night. She tries to find a place for herself, and despite running out of money and inconvenience, she trains in ballet.
