The movie takes place in the last 5 years of the 20th century/ 1990's. Villains like Kaizen Gamorra have taken advantage of the lack of heroes. That is why Jenny Sparks assembles a new team, The Authority. They kill a lot of villains, and any people they say are evil. But they have to face a greater threat than any of those. Earth is being invaded by a parallel timeline called Sliding Albion, that is controled by aliens. Regis Slzfi is the main villain of the movie. During the movie, Swift is killed and dies. Then during the battle, on New years, 2000, Jenny Sparks sacrifices her life to kill Regis and push the invaders back. The Authority spends the next few months dismantling the government. Then at the end of the movie, it fast fowards to present day of the DCU.
