This is the idea of making a Spider-Man series all the way back in the early 2000s. "After the death of Gwen, Peter has fallen into a deep depression, and that's when an alien entity is discovered. It infects Peter and that's when he gets a black suit. Six former enemies team up to take down Spider-Man, and a cat burglar steals from the wealthy.
