Peter Parker's life does a 180° after a bite from a radioactive spider. As he begins to uneasily grasp his newfound spider-like abilities, taking on the spandex of New York's future protector - Spider-Man - he also comes to a conclusion that the idea of being a so-called "superhero" is more layered than an average Joe might think. That also proves when his first nemesis slowly begins to emerge from the shadows.
