Three years ago, there was a shooting at Virgil County High School, leaving 9 dead. Lee's best friend, Sarah McHale, was one of these victims. Everyone thinks that Sarah died a martyr, standing up for her faith, but Lee knows the truth: she never spoke to him. The cross necklace they found in the bathroom wasn't hers, instead another girl's. Sarah's story has inspired so many other Christians at this point, and now Sarah's parents are writing a book. Lee knows that Sarah wouldn't have wanted this, and is trying to get the real truth out there from trying to get the other 6 survivors to tell the truth.
