40 years had passed since Sally Hardesty, sole survivor of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, had left the nightmare behind. She was married, and with a loving husband, daughter, and two grandkids. However, when her grandkids are kidnapped on their way to college, the only lead they had was the same dirt road she travelled down all those years ago. Sally and her daughter venture off to find the girls, and Sally must face her fears once and for all.
