When I made the Time machine, I was so sure I could use it to go back in time and fix whatever it was that went wrong. But when I tried it... I don't know. I saw you as so many things, Connor. I saw you as a hero, a boy, a dead man, a leader, a machine. I saw your mother and father, both apart and together. I thought I could fix things, but I was wrong. I may have just made things worse, even. Even now, I see new paths opening in the time stream, through the actions we take here today. You were right, John. There is no fate but what we make. Or there was no fate but what we make? Time travel is so confusing.
