Even though Skynet was destroyed following the events of Terminator 2: Judgement Day, something doesn't feel right. Those suspicions are confirmed when an advanced Terminator is sent back in time to exterminate humans that were part of a new resistance fighting against something new. Something known as "Legion." sonictiger This is basically a 1997 version of Dark Fate and the original draft of Rise of The Machines mashed together. Also the film doesn't end with Judgement Day, but it still implies it happens at some point in the future as in this John simply says at the end: "We need to be ready" and drives off into the sunset. It also has Salvation elements as well with Marcus being in the story and becoming a twist villain.
