After spending 14 months in Argo City, Clark, Lois and their son, Jon, return to Earth to help during the Crisis in the Multiverse and decide to stay and help protect the Earth from the impending danger of General Zod, an evil Kryptonian set on destroying the world in revenge for what Clark's father, Jor-El did in the last days of Krypton.
