Lex is one of the main antagonists of the story, being in the first script a CIA agent who is dedicated to investigating everything related to aliens, which is not so bad but is ruined at the end when it is revealed that he was a undercover Kryptonian agent, however in the second script it is much better, being almost what we know about the character, only because of the small mishap that his intelligence causes him to be abducted or something like that. Robert Downey Jr was chosen for the role, yes I know it's strange
