In the world where Lois is Superwoman, Cat is harshly confronted by Lois because of her overtly flirtatious actions towards Clark, and Cat hands in her resignation the next day. In the world where Clark and Lois aren't dating, Cat breaks up with Clark because she's resigning from the Daily Planet after being offered a position at WGBS. In the real world, Cat also resigns from the Daily Planet after being offered a position at WGBS, but agrees to come to the wedding after Lois convinces her.
