For once is not antagonizing Superman but is instead fortifying Earth's digital security against Mongul's attempted takeover. Don's the warsuit that has an Argus emp installed if he tries anything, once the final battle begins. He deals with Mongal who has descended to Earth to destroy the source of the program. Throughout the film Luthor is helping to spread an advanced computer program to defend against Mongul's attempted hack of all Earth's governments systems (including nuclear defences?) Deal with the devil sort of thing (could be useful to Savage? And the secret society of supervillains?)
