When comic-book store owner Stuart Bloom accidentally breaks a device built by his scientist friends, Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper, which unleashes a multiverse-ending catastrophe, he must team up with his girlfriend Denise, geologist Bert Kibbler, and physicist Barry Kripke to fix the device in order to restore reality and save the universe and everyone and everything in it.
