An architect (Guy) wishes to finalize his divorce, and marry his fiance, but his estranged wife wishes to continue the marriage for a while longer in order to avoid humiliation. While Riding on an Amtrack, Guy meets a socially inept, wealthy young man named Bruno, who is tired of his judgmental father. The two strike up an uncomfortable conversation, in which Bruno suggest that Guy should murder his father, and Bruno could murder Guy's wife. Guy dismisses the conversation, and goes about his day, but Bruno has other plans...
