However, Pennywise would use this against her, constantly tormenting her by using Billy as one of his forms. all of this causing Max to suffer little by little, making her stubborn and fearful, and miserable about herself, causing her to blame Eleven for bringing IT back by accident, as well as taking out her anger on Steve, about knowing how to feel a very important loss, but it is Lucas who manages to help her in her grief, making her move on and face her grief for Billy.
