Virgil Ovid Hawkins started off his day like any other kid would, wake up, get ready for school, leaves his house to head to school, notice a mugging in an alleyway and knocking the attacker out with electricity from his hands you know typical High Scholler stuff. So besides having the average High School experience and being the Superhero Static Shock Virgil's life is going pretty well, until a new criminal shows up and shows everyone that the light can't beat the shadows.
