Martha Kane is the future beloved mother of Bruce Wayne and will have a recurring role in the series as an old long-time friend of Robert as they used to party together as youths as they were known for being notorious partiers. Although they are hints of something along the lines of more than friendship may've occurred, the two always had a brother-sister like bond. It would have been revealed that Robert had been very devastated by Martha's eventual murder as he and Moira attended the Waynes' funeral.
