Engines from all over the world have come to compete, but three are aiming for the coveted title: Greaseball the macho American Diesel engine, Electra the electric engine of the future and Rusty the steam engine. Rusty may seem unable to conquer the odds and prove his rivals wrong, but with the help of the Starlight Express, he may be able to win not only the race, but the coach of his dreams...
