Stan Weiss, an elderly comic book legend, has scheduled an appearance at a radio show called The Larry Show, hosted by elderly radio legend Larry Cohen. While Stan is a fun seeking, wannabe-youngster womanizer, Larry is a calm, soft-spoken, mild-mannered, no-nonsense old man. peterjudge04 Ending: after the whole trip, Stan reveals Larry that the holiday was just a way to recreate he and his wife's honeymoon trip, since after the Korean War Stan wanted to become a novelist and write the "Great American Novel" to maintain his wife Peg, but he later discovered his passion for comic books and become a comic book artist. However, Peg died before Stan's universal fame. Larry pardons him for having taken him to a trip, and instead thanks him for this, saying his relationship with his wife is slowly deteriorating (as shown in precedent scenes of the movie ). The film ends with Larry and Stan watching the seaside at carnival, in California, just as the camera goes up, ending the movie to a sad soundtrack.
