The film opens with Henry Quinn, a washed-up MI6 spy turned laundromat owner, whose life has grown dull after the government declared him "too unhinged to operate." His mundane routine is interrupted when a portal tears open in his laundromat, depositing Ilsa Magnus, a sarcastic former CIA agent on the run from an alternate version of herself. Ilsa reveals that a shadowy multiversal intelligence agency called The Eye is destroying timelines and replacing key figures in governments with alternate versions of themselves—versions loyal to The Eye. The team's mission spirals into absurdity as they are transported through collapsing dimensions where the rules of espionage don’t apply. They infiltrate an upside-down casino floating in space, where The Eye’s agents bet on the survival of universes. As they uncover The Eye’s plan, the team realizes that every decision they make splits reality further, leading to increasingly bizarre outcomes.
