An agent of the neo-Nazi terrorist organization known as Hydra, a master of disguise, uses various masks to impersonate people. In the first season he was sent by his Hydra superiors to infiltrate SHIELD and obtain all their secrets to destroy them, remaining hidden for much of the season and then being discovered and defeated by Spiderman. During the rest of the series we would continue to see his services as a spy for Hydra, although sometimes his services as a spy are hired by other villains such as Norman or Fisk.
