The episode opens as Peter meets his new professor Abner Jenkins. Jenkins has taken a liking to Peter and thinks he has the potential to do very well at M.I.T. Peter also meets new classmates including Bobby Drake, Kitty Pryde, and Jann Thomas. The 4 end up getting assigned to a project together and Peter and Bobby end up becoming good friends. Meanwhile back in Queens both Harry and Gwen who haven't talked since her father's funeral decide to meet up and discuss the status of their relationship. Harry protests that he still doesn't understand what went wrong and Gwen just tells him they grew apart. Harry tells her he's been trying to put this conversation off but she needs to make a choice because he can't wait any longer. She tells him it's not as simple as if they're together or not and Harry gets mad and leaves. Gwen tries texting Peter like she has been for the last 6 months but still no response. Peter has given up being Spider-Man and is trying to start his adult life as fresh as possible. He feels guilty for not only Captain Stacy's death, but also the return of Norman and Otto becoming something he was never supposed to. Peter gets back to his dorm and turns on the TV only to see that in breaking news, Wilson Fisk after months of being missing has finally been found dead...
