After defeating Doctor Octopus' sinister six, Peter Parker continues college with his friends while taking on the New York mob and catching the attention of Norman Osborn. Wilson Fisk, the Maggia and Tombstone make a deal with Norman to hire mercenaries to catch Spidey and bring him to Osborn. Soon Peter will need the help of the Black Cat as he is hunted by Saber International, the mysterious mercenary Taskmaster, who has stolen various equipment from the red room, and the nearly unstoppable and ruthless hunter, Kraven. It all gets worse when Peter bonds with an alien symbiote from another dimension known as Venom!
