Almost everyone feels bad when their parents die. But these characters take it to another level. A LARGE chunk of their character arc or plot involves dealing with their grief over their deceased parent(s), avenging them, coming to terms with their death, etc. In some cases, a character may have had a falling out with their parent before their death, and whether or not they were in the right, they have angst over the fact they never made up before their parent unexpectedly died.
