The Difference is Day & Night
Dr. Eggman has stolen the Chaos Emeralds and he uses them to split Mobius apart to unleash an ancient beast known as Dark Gaia. Sonic is infected by dark gas that emits from the cracks in Mobius that turns him into a hedgehog-like werewolf every night. He & the Freedom Fighters meet a friendly creature with amnesia and nickname him “Chip.” The Freedom Fighters race to restore power to the Chaos Emeralds, put Mobius back together, and help Chip regain his memories. (9th film in the Sonic the Hedgehog Animated Cinematic Universe). Based on “Sonic Unleashed” & the “Sonic Unleashed” adaptation in the Sonic Archie Comics.
