Scratch is constructed from a rare material found on Little Planet that grants him and his brother Grounder virtually complete indestructibility, ensuring that they can never be truly destroyed despite the constant physical abuse they take. Considering himself to be the 'brains' of the 2, Scratch commonly orders his brother around in their plots to defeat Sonic or optimize the Eggman Empire. In reality, his intelligence and competence are far lower than he actually thinks it is.
