Coconuts is only on the SSSS Squad because he asked Eggman if he could, thinking him being the one who shot Sonic's ship down was worthy enough. Robotnik never made eye contact with him, and just shrugs saying without a care "Yeah. Sure. Whatever. Just don't bother me." (Robotnik didn't even know Coconuts existed). But Coconuts saw it as the greatest honor a Badnik had, so he joins Scratch & Grounder in trying to destroy the Mobians.
