Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles must track down Eggman who has vanished. Amy teams up with Cream and Big to rescue there friends Chocola and Froggy, and Shadow and Rouge have returned to earth alongside E123 Omega so they can collect the chaos emeralds. Meanwhile the Chaotix are on a mission to locate Eggman as well as requested by Team Sonic. Little do the heroes know, is that all their quests lead to the same thing, Neo Metal Sonic, and one large world threatening plan bigger than anything they have encountered before.
