It's been many days, after the events of Sonic Forces, Eggman Empire has been fallen, and Eggman and Infinite have presumed dead. Then everyone has parted ways. But Infinite has survived the final battle with Sonic. He plans to resurrect his own squad and have create his army of jackals, beginning to cause domination all around Sonic's world. After the invasion, the Resistance was formed once more, and Sonic has gathered everybody, including G.U.N soldiers to join another fight.
