Lightsting came from the depths of Skylands' deepest oceans after an unsuspecting Mabu fished it out of the deep, making it the first of its kind to walk on land. After reaching land, it stumbled upon a group of trolls polluting the oceans it hailed from, and grew so furious that it drove them off using its lightning powers—an act that caught the Skylanders' eyes and led to it becoming a Sensei.
