Zircon was a living statue created to be an heir to a king, but because of his status as a living statue, was unable to age and turned to villainy in a misguided attempt to keep his loved ones from being outlived by him. However, with the heroes' help, he's made peace with his existence and began walking the Earth, seeking a new purpose and wisdom and eventually founding the monastery Elemonk hails from. And when evil strikes, he's more than happy to aid his student in fighting it. Child.
