From the moment he could walk, he trained nonstop in the special Shadow Arts that his family specialized in until he could fight as naturally as he could breath. He was appointed as one of the bodyguards charged with watching over the prince's coronation—but as it began, assassins invaded! Deathwing beat them all singlehandedly before they could touch a feather on the prince's head. Master Eon invited Deathwing to become a Skylander upon learning of this, and sensing his talents would befit all of Skylands, he joined Eon with the royal family's blessing.
