Bushwhack was born to a race of elves who guarded the Arcadian Timberlands, but because of his small stature, rather than becoming a ranger he was sent to study with the tree spirit Arbo. Arbo, however, saw potential in Bushwhack and not only taught him many secrets, but even gifted him an enchanted ax that he would later wield to protect the Timberlands from troll lumberjacks—an act that led to him being made both a ranger and a Skylander.
