Synopsis

One of the noblest and most tormented cosmic entities in the universe, the Silver Surfer treasures freedom above all else, but has often sacrificed his liberty for the greater good. He was born Norrin Radd on the planet Zenn-La, part of an extremely long-lived and technologically advanced humanoid race which had created a worldwide utopia devoid of crime, disease, hunger, poverty, and want of any kind. His father named him after revered scientist Norrin Konn, the man responsible for raising Zenn-La from barbarism to utopia.

Description of Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd):

Young Norrin Radd was an inhabitant of Zenn-la, a technologically advanced world, living in an age of splendor and peace. During a long period of space conquests, Zenn-la had placed its flag on nearly every planet in its galaxy. After almost a millennium without facing any threat, one day the alarm of the main city of Zenn-la sounded, and the inhabitants were informed that a giant spaceship in the shape of a globe had penetrated the galaxy bypassing all nuclear defenses.
