Originally, Galactus was a humanoid named Galan, born on Earth-616's previous incarnation on the planet Taa, a paradise world whose civilization is said to have been the most advanced of any known universe at the time. However, the Infinite Six and all of its universes were in their final stages of collapse due to the multiversal renewal cycle.
