Unfortunately, being a superhero and an honorary member of the Justice League didn't give Billy Batson any reason to explain his tardiness in math class. But, as one of his favorite movies would say, "With great power comes great responsibility!" Willing to prove himself to his idols, especially Batman and Wonder Woman (with Diana becoming his best friend and motivator since joining the team), Billy has the help of his friend and adoptive brother Freddy Freeman, as well as his adoptive sister Mary, though cautious about it, to record some exploits in Fawcett City. But when the trio discovers that their town is being used as a hideout for evil purposes, and with a new enemy emerging from it, Billy realizes that home needs him to say the magic word: SHAZAM!
