Jocelyn Garroway (née Fairchild), also known as Jocelyn Fray, is the mother of Clary Fairchild and Jonathan Morgenstern, the wife of Luke Garroway and, formerly, Valentine Morgenstern. Jocelyn was originally an active Shadowhunter and a member of the Circle with her then husband, Valentine Morgenstern, but after discovering her husband's heinous and cruel acts, she abandoned the cause and became a key orchestrator against the Uprising. Jocelyn escaped the life of Shadowhunters to live a safe mundane life in New York with her daughter, Clary.
