Hong Tengfei is a Shaolin monk residing in the mountains of China. One stormy night, a one-man attack from the assassin Yao Shuren took place in the Shaolin temple which led to many of his fellow monks being slain, as well as the secret Shaolin scrolls being stolen from the monastery. As soon as he heard about Shuren's participation in the Sentoki tournament, Tengfei enters the tournament to defeat him and retrieve the missing scrolls of the Shaolin.
