Cal Simmons is the 17-year-old star quarterback of the Oakwood High football team. He’s got it all: popular friends, a college scholarship waiting for him, and the hearts of the entire school. Recovering from a horrible accident that happened over the summer, Cal is more than ready to move on and bring his life back to normal. But when a coincidental screw up introduces him to Eli Evans, his understanding of life is flipped on its head, and so starts a school year full of diner milkshakes, nighttime car rides, and first love in a town where secrets don’t stay secret for long.
