While on their way to their high school's barn dance, Scooby, Shaggy, Fred. Daphne & Velma come across a knocked-out bank guard and his ransacked car. After he mumbles to them some clues, they discover that the local banks have been robbed by a mysterious zombie-like phantom called the Creeper.
