A spinoff to my film series idea "Class of 1963"
Pacifica and Kenya Corcovado are excited to trade in their DC home for a beach vacation with their family. But when they meet Daniel Arbitman, a charming and mysterious boy who shares their love for adventure, they decide to take a detour from their planned trip to explore the coast together. As they ride horses along the beach and discover hidden coves, they realize that Daniel is hiding secrets of his own. As they navigate their feelings for Daniel and try to uncover the truth about his past, they must also confront the challenges of growing up, including racism, sexism, and social inequality. Will they be able to stay true to themselves and their dreams, or will the pressures of the world around them tear them apart? "Saddle Up, Sweethearts" is a heartwarming and inspiring coming-of-age story about the power of sisterhood, self-expression, and following your dreams.
