Superman is defending Metropolis as usual while frequently visiting the Fortress of Solitude. Meanwhile, Metropolis Mayor and Billionaire Lex Luthor sees Superman as a threat to his power and thinks of plans to eliminate him. Also, a trio of Kryptonian prisoners led by General Zod escape from the Phantom Zone and land on Earth. They reek havok on it's citizens and call for a challenge against Superman. Luthor sees this as a chance to negotiate a deal to have them kill Superman once and for all. Will the Man of Steel survive this team-up of evil and safe the Earth once again?
